A proposal to give large raises to supervisors and other nonunion city of Grants Pass employees, including City Manager Aaron Cubic, is still alive.
During a workshop on Monday, the Grants Pass City Council decided to move forward on discussions, but made no commitments about the pay raises, which could be tens of thousands of dollars each for many nonunion workers. An arrest warrant has been issued for a woman accused of embezzling from the historic Prospect Hotel after she didn't appear at a scheduled court hearing on Monday.
Andrea Annette Riegelman, a 38-year-old former employee of the hotel, is charged in Jackson County Circuit Court with first-degree aggravated theft and first-degree forgery for allegedly stealing over $10,000 from the hotel "and/or" Prospect Collective LLC in March. Read More »
